Lion Brian French takes over as President from Lion Ian Hill.

Lion President Brian officially took office on the 1st July. The ceremonial handover took place on Monday 12th July at the Elfordleigh Hotel. Lion President Brian was put to work straight away presenting a cheque to Stoke Youth and Community Centre a few days later.
This is Lion Brian second time in the office of President having held the post in 2001/2002.
The Lions Club of Plymouth wishes Lion Brian success during his year as President.
Dartmoor Walk 2010
Walkers take a break during this year Dartmoor 10 mile walk. ''Mrs President '' Jean French take in the view, Whilst Lion Jack Martin serve up squash to James Gill and Rachel Peters. 71 walkers started off the walk from Walkhampton Village Hall. This year main charities are R.N.L.I & The Salvation Army safe sleep programme. Last year walk raised nearly £4000, lets hope we can beat that figure. Message in a BottleLions Club of Plymouth receive 5000 Message in a Bottle. Neighbourhood watch based at Charles Cross Police Station donated their supply of Medi Tubes to the Lions. Charter President
Charter President Lion Tom Hepple was presented with his 45 year charter Chevrons at the hand over dinner. Lion Tom was them requested to present Lion Roger Carver(Roger was the club 6th President) his 45 year charter chevrons. Lion Tom then went on to present 5 certificates of attendance to Lions Ian Dingle, Colin Stideford, Debbie Willcocks, Bob Thomas and Alan Clifford Congratulations to them all. |
